PUBLIC CRUISES:

What is the cost for a public cruise?

The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children age 12 and under and free for children under age 2.

When are public cruises?

You can find our public cruise calendar here for the updated public cruise schedule.

The public cruise schedule is posted dockside and is also available by calling 641-357-2243.

Do you accept credit or debit cards?

No, we do not accept credit or debit cards. There is an ATM within a short walking distance.

Do you require a minimum number of passengers?

We require 10 adult passengers to cover the cost of fuel and staff. So bring your family and friends!

How long is a public cruise?

Our public cruises are narrated and approximately 90 minutes long.

Do we need reservations on a public cruise?

No - reservations are not required for public cruises. If you have a large group and you want to check on availability you can contact us to make a reservation either by email at info@cruiseclearlake.com or by phone 641-357-2243.

WINDY AND/OR STORMY WEATHER

Will the Lady go out when it is windy and/or stormy?

We have no control over Mother Nature. If there are hazardous wind and/or stormy weather conditions, the public cruise will be canceled and a notice will be posted at dockside.

If the weather looks questionable, we suggest you call us at 641-357-2243 and let it ring until it picks up. There will be a message including a weather condition report.

LOCATION AND PARKING

Where is the Lady of the Lake located?

The Lady of the Lake docks downtown at the City Seawall in Clear Lake, Iowa, at the corner of Lakeview Drive and 1st Avenue North.

How do I get there?

From I-35 take Exit 194. Go West on Hwy 18 to North 8th Street. Turn left onto North 8th Street go to Main Avenue. Turn right onto Main Avenue and follow to Lakeview Drive and the City Seawall and turn right.We are hidden from view by the band shell in the park but once you are past that you will see the Lady of the Lake to your left.

Is parking convenient?

There is free municipal parking at the City Seawall.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY

Is the boat about handicap accessibility?

We have a portable ramp which allows for access to the lower level by wheelchair or motorized chair.

PRIVATE CHARTERS

What is the cost of a private charter?

The cost of a two-hour private charter of the Lady of the Lake $850 plus tax. You can add an additional hour for $425 plus tax.

We have special pricing for fund raising events and Sunday morning church services. These are available upon request.

Is a deposit required to book a private charter?

Yes. Partially refundable deposit of half of the charter cost is required upon signing of a charter contract.

Half of the deposit will be refunded upon receipt of a written notice of cancellation 30 days prior to the event.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS

Can we use a caterer of our own choice?

Arrangements to have food catered will need to be made with a caterer of your choice. We have a list of area caterers who have expressed an interest in catering on the Lady of the Lake that we will provide upon request.

There is an extra clean up charge of $30 when food is brought on board.

It is your responsibility to remove any leftover food.

Do you allow us to bring our own beer, wine or liquor on board?

The only beverages that we allow to be brought on board are punch for weddings and coffee for your catered meal.

Our liquor license does not allow you to bring alcohol on board. No alcoholic beverages can be taken off the boat.

There is a bar on the lower level and we sell soft drinks, beer, wine and mixed drinks. You have the option of cash bar, open bar, purchase a keg, or if you want more control over the bar costs, distribute drink tickets to your guests. If you want something special such as champagne for a toast, we will be happy to try to accommodate your request. Keep in mind that we do have limited cooler space.

CAPACITY

What is the capacity ?

Capacity is 150 people which requires the use of the open-air upper level.

MUSIC AND DECORATIONS

Is there a stage and sound system?

There is a stage on the lower level that can accommodate a small band or DJ as well as a small dance floor.

We have a sound system that may be used to play CD’s – either cd’s that you provide or from our collection. There is a wireless microphone available for your use.

Are decorations allowed?

Yes. Keep in mind that time may be limited – so keep things simple and quick to set up and take down. There are 14 tables on the lower level that are 24” x 42” and five octagon shaped picnic tables on the upper deck.

LARGE GROUPS

If our group is not large enough for a private charter, can we reserve space and also have food catered on a public cruise?

Yes. You can make a large group reservation on a public cruise and still arrange for food to be brought on board. We just indicate to the others that the food is for a private party. Beverage options are the same as for private charters.

BUS TOUR GROUPS

Bus Tour Package Options:

  • Public Cruise only
  • Public Cruise with Appetizers or Dessert
  • Public Cruise with Lunch/Dinner which includes Chicken dinner (3-piece, 2 sides, drink & cookie)
    • Iced tea or lemonade provided with dinner or dessert cruise. Cash bar available for all other beverages.

      All bus tour packages include a narrated cruise which is approximately 90 minutes long. We have no control over the weather. The Captain reserves the right to cancel cruise due to hazardous wind or weather conditions. Cancellation may occur without advanced notice.

      A minimum of 30 passengers required for a cruise at a specially scheduled time.
